“I've always tried to understand the world around me, to analyze and absorb the people, emotions, and events in their interconnectedness. Through art, I've been able to capture what I see. Ella Moritz is an artist from Berlin. She studied philosophy and art history in Cologne and grew up in Ulm. Defined by a fascination with animals and the small, subtle things that constantly happen around us, she uses oil painting as her primary medium to develop a style rooted in realism. Her art is less about an exact depiction of actual reality (hyperrealism) and more about attempting to share a snapshot of a moment as it was personally and subjectively perceived.
